Everything is Political

Everything is Political is an award winning series (3rd Place SeeingWOMEN 2020 Awards by Photos de Femmes & Longlisted artist of Women United Art Award 2021) created between 2018-2021. Naufel first started the series with the intention of heal her own wounds of being sexually assaulted when she was just a teenages. By embroidering women’s portraits with powerful sayings, hoped to start conversations about gender violence and to give back voice to women that have been silenced in the past, hoping for a brighter future for all of us. Some artworks of this series went viral on social media, and until this day people find their way to Juliana’s work because of this series.
